Reiki Rainbow Hands

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." A Brief Overview Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

Reiki fields

In order for the Reiki healing energies to have lasting results, the client must accept responsibility for her or his healing and take an active part in it. Therefore, the Usui system of Reiki is more than the use of the Reiki energy. It must also include an active commitment to improve oneself in order for it to be a complete system. The ideals are both guidelines for living a gracious life and virtues worthy of practice for their inherent value.

Reiki and the Chakras

The standard hand placements of Reiki healing target the seven major chakras, which are often rendered dysfunctional and discolored – even completely closed – by problems of the mind, body or spirit. Keeping these gateways properly functioning is vitally important to our health, because disruptions in energy flow lead to illness. Reiki treatments clear the chakras of negative energy and blockages, restoring the harmonious flow of life-force energy.

Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Institute of Neurological Sciences, South Glasgow University Hospital NHS Trust, 1345 Govan Road, Glasgow G51 4TF, Scotland, UK. OBJECTIVES: To investigate if a complementary therapy, Reiki, has any effect on indices of autonomic nervous system function. DESIGN: Blind trial. SETTING/LOCATION: Quiet room in an out-patient clinic. SUBJECTS: Forty-five (45) subjects assigned at random into three groups. Interventions: Three treatment conditions: no treatment (rest only); Reiki treatment by experienced Reiki practitioner; and placebo treatment by a person with no knowledge of Reiki and who mimicked the Reiki treatment. OUTCOME MEASURES: Quantitative measures of autonomic nervous system function such as heart rate, cardiac vagal tone, blood pressure, cardiac sensitivity to baroreflex, and breathing activity were recorded continuously for each heartbeat. Values during and after the treatment period were compared with baseline data. RESULTS: Heart rate and diastolic blood pressure decreased significantly in the Reiki group compared to both placebo and control groups. CONCLUSIONS: The study indicates that Reiki has some effect on the autonomic nervous system. However, this was a pilot study with relatively few subjects and the changes were relatively small. The results justify further, larger studies to look at the biological effects of Reiki treatment.

Faden Quartz Therapy

I have been using Faden Quartz to help me smooth and integrate the changes that occur during a healing session.

Faden Quartz

Faden is a German word meaning thread, and these crystals are characterized by the white, threadlike lines running through them. Many are also tabular (flat), and consist of joined crystals with the line running through them. The lines indicate what is commonly called a self-healed crystal. Such crystals are formed in the midst of shifts in the earth surrounding them which cause them to break, then reheal.
Self-healed crystals are generally very powerful when used for healing on all levels because they contain within them the pattern of their own healing. These crystals embody the energy of white light, and are especially useful for release of energy blockages. This release can often be emotional in nature, and you may find it helpful to employ an appropriate Bach Flower® Remedy to assist in balancing the emotional body.

Bach Flower® Remedies

Bach flower remedies were discovered in the 1920s and 1930s by Dr Edward Bach, a Harley Street consultant and bacteriologist . The Bach Centre was Dr Bach’s home and workplace from 1934 to his death in 1936.

Bach flower remedies are a complementary medicine that helps resolve imbalanced emotional states, which can in turn lead to improvements in general health.

I have successfully used the Bach Flower remedies since 1975 - and am certified by the Bach Centre in Oxfordshire, England.

Bach Flower Remedy Chart

Bach Remedies do not work directly on the physical level. They do not effect a physiological response in the same way medications, herbs, and homeopathy do. They will not interfere with medications.

The Remedies re-balance energy in the mental, spiritual and emotional bodies. The Bach Flower Remedies will in no way hamper your performance. They do not act as a sedative but rather address the imbalance and provide soothing, calming support. I am an expert in Divination, having mastered over 18 different techniques over a span of 40 years. This form of healing - allows one to check whether one's conscious mind is in alignment with the subconscious. If not, often chaos will be a result in the client's life. Rather than predicting the future - divination shows a possible outcome - and ways to change and align one's actions with the soul's direction. This method is especially good for business investigations.

A ritual altar

I use altars throughout my home and work to focus concentration, act as a sigil for sacred frequency, and to act as a visual reminder of my magical intentions. Here is an altar set up at the Spiral Dance - but in the Center for Vibrational Medicine the main altar is to keep the names of my clients present - so they will be remembered in prayer, daily.
